The ONIE Project is committed to respecting your privacy. Users can use this website without revealing any personal information. Should you choose to provide us with any personal information, it will only be used by the ONIE Project and will not be disseminated to any unaffiliated third party.
We receive, and may store, certain types of information when you interact with onieproject.org or choosehomemade.org. For example, we use IP addresses (the Internet address of your computer), information about your web browser, URLs of referring websites, and your site navigation histories to better understand how users are interacting with our website and what they may find important.
We use a tool called “Google Analytics” to collect information about use of our websites. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit this site, what pages they visit when they do so, and what other sites they used prior to coming to this site. It also collects data about visitor demographics and interest categories. It is statistical data. This statistical data does not identify any personal details whatsoever. We use the information we get from Google Analytics only to improve this site.
If You Send Personal Information
If you ever choose to provide us with your personal information, such as through our website contact form, we use that information to respond to your message. The information you provide is not used to create individual profiles, collected for commercial marketing, nor disseminated to any unaffiliated third party.
The ONIE Project and Choose Homemade use third-party services such as Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube to communicate and interact with the public. You may encounter these services as separate websites. These services are controlled and operated by third parties. By interacting with our organization through these third-party services, you may be providing third parties access to your personal information which can be used to distinguish or trace your identity. Any information collected by a third-party service is subject to the privacy policies of the third-party service provider. These third-party services may, for example, use persistent (multi-session) cookies.
Please note that these third-party services supplement ONIE’s communication and outreach efforts. Should you have concerns about communicating with ONIE via these channels, please use traditional channels to contact us.
The purpose of ONIE’s online communications channels such as recipe and blog comments, social media, and contact forms is to encourage engagement amongst and between the ONIE Project and its audience. Any aggressive language or commentary deemed inappropriate will not be allowed to be displayed publicly.
